Caring for teeth for life

Corona Virus Update 26.08.2020

Dear Patients

We are delighted to welcome you back to our practice and we have worked very hard to put in place numerous changes which go above and beyond Government guidelines.

The safety of my patients and staff has always been my number one priority and now is no different, so we have introduced many advanced cross-infection steps to keep you safe and I have detailed some of these below.

We are now performing all types of dentistry, just as we did before lock-down. If you need to book an appointment, please call (020) 8446 3931 and we will be happy to arrange one for you.

Safety Measures to Protect You and Our Team
  1. We have streamlined the waiting room to make it COVID safe and more cleansable.
  2. We only allow one patient in the practice at any one time, (escorts and parents are allowed to accompany patients), but you will not meet any other patients during your visit.
  3. When you enter the practice, we will take your temperature with a non-touch thermometer. Your medical history and health status will be checked and you will be asked to wear a face mask in the reception area.
  4. We have invested in a medical-grade air purifier that cleans the air of all viruses and bacteria 5 times each hour. Douglas uses special equipment which sets new standards in COVID safety. After each patient the treatment room is deep-cleaned.
  5. Douglas and his nurse will be wearing high-level appropriate PPE for your procedure. You will be asked to use an anti-viral mouthwash before your treatment begins.

Below is a message from one of my patients who received treatment from me recently:

"Dear Douglas,

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the measures that you have put in place to keep everyone safe. During this most difficult of times i.e. Covid-19, I felt completely comfortable from the moment I entered the waiting room, throughout my dental treatment, until the moment I left. Thank you so much. As always, you have gone the extra mile."

I fully appreciate that things have changed and thank you for your cooperation and understanding when attending our practice.

I look forward to welcoming you back here in the near future.

Kindest regards,

Douglas Miller

We offer a caring, considerate, friendly, state of the art, air-conditioned and hygienic, private practice, where the patient always comes first.

We offer you high quality dentistry with honesty and integrity, and we genuinely care about our patients.

Caring dentistry isn't just about teeth - it's about people: understanding them and their needs and providing them with the service they deserve.

Recent developments in dental research have highlighted important links between oral health and heart disease, diabetes, cancer and premature ageing. That's why we regard caring for your teeth for life as being so important.

Douglas loves dentistry and takes a keen interest in providing the best care he can for his patients. He has a natural aptitude for helping people overcome their fears, he takes the time to listen carefully to your needs, and gets great professional satisfaction from helping anxious patients recover their confidence and self-esteem.

Douglas runs a very friendly family oriented practice but it also a dental phobia certified dentist. This means he and his team have specialised training and skills in dealing with dentally phobic patients, and his practice is a referral practice for other dentists to send their dentally-phobic patients to. Douglas has successfully treated many dental phobics and many of his patients travel from far for treatment with the latest calming and sedation techniques.
